The last steps required before enjoying the benefits of the eidooCARD are the card activation and the card dedicated wallet activation. Let’s see how to do it.
- Card activation
First of all, to activate the card, you will need to go to the dedicated section of the application, tap on “activate card” and insert the CVV code present on the back of the physical card that you have received.
- Card wallet activation
To activate the dedicated card wallet, it is sufficient to make a first top up using certain tokens. This operation can be done both on Ethereum with ETH, USDC and DAI, and on BNB Chain with USDC. To initialize it, it will be necessary to have some ETH or BNB available in the personal wallet to pay the transaction fees (which are in the miner's favor).
Please note that this operation requires to pay also activation fees in Loopring’s favor, the Layer 2 blockchain used by the eidooCARD to manage transactions.
Eidoo does not charge any extra fee on this nor on any other operation.
In order to complete the card wallet activation process successfully, we suggest that you make a transaction of minimum 100$ equivalent in crypto. This does not represent an estimation of the costs of the fees, but rather is to be interpreted as suggested amounts to send in order to be sure to complete the process successfully. The funds left after the fees will be spendable through the card.
