Eidoo has implemented some smart features to enhance the user experience when dealing with the visualization of the tokens held. Let’s see in this guide how to add or remove tokens from Eidoo.
First of all, it is important to clarify that the balance of a wallet is stored in the blockchain; while what we are going to disclose is just a matter of either showing or hiding these balances. Hiding a token does not mean that that token becomes inaccessible, furthermore, one can decide to show again that token at any time.
This said, let’s start this journey among the settings Eidoo has thought for users to add or remove tokens!
Add tokens
When importing a new wallet on Eidoo, the balances of the tokens held will not show up in the main menu. However, adding the tokens is easy. From the “Crypto” menu, scroll down to the end of the list and tap on “Add token” (1). Here, you will have three options available:
- Auto detect (2): Eidoo can automatically scan your wallet on multiple blockchains and show you all the tokens held. It will be up to you to decide which token to add and which to ignore. To add a token, click on it, you will see the box on the left filled with a tick ✅. When your selection is over, click on “Add” below.
- Search: use the search bar to type the name of the token you want to add, then select the one you are interested in among the list and simply click on it. You will notice in the homepage that the token is present in its blockchain list.
- Custom: you can manually insert a token by visiting its page on the relative block explorer and copying its contract address. Once you paste it on Eidoo, the two other input fields will likely automatically fill. Click on “Add” to confirm.
Choose the method that you prefer and add all the tokens you consider relevant to have them always at hand (3).
Remove tokens
To remove tokens that you do not want to see in the homepage anymore, it will be enough to tap on the token from the homepage (4), then go to the settings in the right top corner (5), and select “Hide token” (6). Done!
